European Social Fund

One of OFC’s strong suits is doing good for people and good for the planet. As we all know: if you want to change the world, start with yourself. Where we always focused on farmers and suppliers in lands of origin, we now started a project on sustainable employability within our company. Partly financed by the European Social Fund of the European Union, the objective was to enhance the learning culture within our company and to improve flexibility and mobility of all OFC-employees.

We performed a survey amongst all OFC employees in order to know what they feel they need in order to have more satisfactory working conditions and to (continuously) improve our organization.

The focus points from this survey were addressed in a years’ project together with our advisor René Dijkstra from Organic Food Consultancy.

This resulted amongst other things in the definition of cultural values for our company, in improved work flows, in more clarity of responsibilities, in improved interaction between various working disciplines.

The evaluation survey after one year learned us that we are on the right track. We feel we are better informed, know better how to improve dissatisfying conditions within our company and are open to learn from each other.

We feel we definitely further improved our sustainability as a company.
